Here are some tips to keep in mind when putting your postcard design to work:
- Benefits - You want to show immediately how your product or service will benefit your audience. Instead of saying “lower your mortgage rate” you may want to say “Save you money”. (image)
- Your offer – Your offer is the focus of why are you sending this out. It should consist of two things.
- Your product or service
- Your coupon or discount. (image)
- Call to action – Use an action statement telling prospects what you want them to do. Examples include: “Call today” “Visit our sale” “Go to our website!” (image)
- Headline –There should be a singular, concise message on the non-address side of the mailer. A picture supporting the message should be easily identified. The message should present a solution to a problem. (image)
- Subheadings. Subheadings serve 2 purposes
